Jessica Barker, Barn Manager and Head Trainer: Second generation horsewoman, Jessica Barker, has a career that spans over 30 years and covers the Eastern seaboard – from Maryland to Florida. Jessica has competed at the highest levels, winning awards at such prestigious trials as Dover and the New Jersey Horse Trials. She has comprehensive expertise at all disciplines: from qualifying for the National Barrel Horse Association World Show 7 consecutive times; to training and competing on the A Circuit for Hunters, Combined Training/Eventing, and Classical Dressage. Jessica has unique connection with horse and riders and brings an unprecedented level of experience and skill to the TLEC team. Ashley Van Orden is an amazing Talent. She has been winning Grand Champion titles since the age of Seven. Ashley brings a vast knowledge of horses to our barn family along with a great smile and warm heart. Ashley has competed at the national level at Certified USHJA events. Ashley is a third generation equestrian, you could say horses are in her blood. She looks forward to the many more years of working with TLEC amazing horses, and shares her passion every day with her students. Ashley has over 16 years of experience riding and training hunters, jumpers, hunter seat equitation, and dressage. She has a deep love for all horses and is driven to learn everything that these beautiful animals can teach us. "I enjoy helping my students learn from and appreciate the horses that they ride and interact with. I believe every horse has something to teach us about ourselves, about themselves, and about life as a whole - if we will only stop and listen."
